Our African investors have decades of hands-on project and managerial experience in different parts of the agriculture sector in Nigeria from cultivation to export including leading large-scale enterprises and listed ventures in the Nigerian Stock Exchange.
Profyta is a Dutch independent horticultural group and provides integrated crop solutions for any farmer in subtropical and tropical climate zones. With more than 50 years of experience in the global seed and agriculture business, Profyta provides integrated crop solutions which targets the sub tropical regions.
Profyta as a technical leader in the seeds sector has established experience in setting up large projects and ventures in Africa including large operations in Tanzania, Ghana, Zambia and others.
Our delivery model is to partner with farmers and other key stakeholders in the agriculture sector to build and enhance sustainable value for the long term.

Emmanuel Ijewere
Chairman of the Board
One of Nigeria’s most eminent businessmen as well as one of it's most respected Accountants and Tax Consultants with extensive experience and interests across the banking, finance and agricultural industries. He is an Independent Director of Nova Merchant Bank Limited and was the founding partner of Ijewere & Co. a premier Accountancy, Management Consultants and Tax firm. He is currently the Vice President of the Nigerian Agribusiness Group (NABG).
In recognition to his excellence and professionalism, he served as the President of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, President of the Institute of Directors Nigeria, National President of the Nigerian Red Cross Society and Chairman of the West African Sub-Region of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. He is also known as the "accidental farmer" with deep expertise and experience in propagating sustainable agriculture and food supply.
Felix Nwabuko
Director
A Chartered Accountant and award wining business leader with extensive multi-sector global experience in consultancy, agriculture, manufacturing and education sectors. He has special professional interest in strategy, corporate governance and leadership. He is a Fellow of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, Associate of Chartered Institute of Taxation Nigeria, Alumni of both Manchester Business School, United Kingdom and University of Benin, Nigeria. He is also member of the Institute of Directors in the United Kingdom. He is a key advisor for state and national strategic development in Agriculture and other socio-economic priority areas. He is currently a Member of the Executive Leadership Group of the Nigerian Agribusiness Group (NABG).
Professional recognition include ‘Outstanding CEO of The Year Award’, ‘Nigeria Agriculture Award - Achiever In Agriculture Award’, and the prestigious ‘ICAN Merit Award’ by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria to Presco Plc under his leadership as Managing Director and CEO.
Ewout Schurink
Director
An agricultural sector leader with more than 35 years experience in leading, training and developing strong teams in agri-businesses and sectors. He has a vast working experience across African and Middle Eastern countries including Ethiopian, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, South Africa, Ghana, Congo, Morocco, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Jordan and more. He is a leader in capability development with vast successes in ‘train the trainer’ programs in the agriculture sector.
His specializes in the horticultural sector including greenhouse and open field cultivation: with extensive commercial experience in cultivating floricultural and vegetable crops. He led and executed several projects with small holder farmers to bring them to the level of high-tech farmers.
Nico De Groot

A global specialist in agriculture research and economics. He has led many research studies in Wageningen University in The Netherlands. He is an influencer in policy development and has deep experience in setting up projects across different countries including Indonesia, Korea, Egypt, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Ethiopia, Sudan, Kenya, Mexico, Qatar, South Africa, Nigeria and others. He has established successful collaboration between public and private sector players across the regions.
A respected scholar having authored many progressive international research studies and being a member of various professional and economic agricultural institutions in Netherlands including Chairmen of the International Society of Horticultural Science.
Meka Nwabuko
Director / Chief Operating Officer
A diverse professional with finance, commercial and technical experiences. He is a credible business leader with 15+ years’ experience in the Engineering, Energy and Petrochemical sectors after graduating in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University College London (UCL). He is experienced in Corporate Strategy, Commercial Finance and Business Planning. He is an active investor and a mentor of start-up ventures focused on solving socio-economic challenges in Africa with a bias for making a long lasting sustainable impact in the agriculture sector.
An associate member of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) with awards for excellence and member of the Advisory Board of Agri-Businesses.
